E2 Visas Success – What We Focus On

As an E2 Visa Business Consultant and Business Broker it is  important that my clients know that I don’t just talk to the talk but I also walk the walk. The E2 visa for many of my clients will be one of the biggest life changing events  they will ever undertake. If my client’s E2 visa business fails they could lose not only their American dream and have to move back to their home country, but they could also have lost their life savings. “We’ve heard it before, yet I never tire of the reminder, that what we put our attention on grows. That what we focus on becomes our reality. That we are experts at creating our experiences, thought by thought, moment by moment. This principle is so clearly demonstrated in our everyday lives; whether good or bad, happy or sad, it all starts with our thoughts and the feelings those thoughts create.

We do it every day, often without conscious awareness and it is through the understanding of this power (that we all possess) that we can begin to understand how to use it for our highest good, and thus empower us to live the lives we were born to live. It was my experience during the year 2005 that helped me to recognize just how much influence I have on the outcome of my life. This was the year that I became aware of not only my power, but of my responsibility, in creating the life I wanted. It started in November of 2004. I made the “decision” that my company would earn 1 million dollars in 2005. While each prior year we achieved our goals, they were always modest. After all, we were a bootstrapped small start up with no marketing budget in a highly competitive niche industry. This goal was an enormous leap. But, I “decided” it was time and “felt” we could get there. Once I believed it was possible, I shared my plan with my team and together we set out to achieve our goal.

Everyone was excited about the possibilities. Opportunities began to show up at the most perfect moments. We developed the action steps to get there, streamlined our operations, practiced our sales skills, and kept our eyes on the goal. Whiteboards with sales goals and achievement milestones were hung on the walls in the sales offices and updated weekly. My team would often update the boards daily in anticipation for the weekly totals. By the end of the year, we had earned 1.2 million dollars! Whether your focus is on what you want and desire or what you fear the most, what gets the most attention, the most thought, the most emotion, becomes reality.

We can choose to allow our minds to aimlessly wonder to the negative, feel defeated, and demonstrate our disappointments through our experiences OR we can get excited, stay focused, and experience the positive outcomes of our process. I realized my power to create in 2005 and have since watched my life unfold in a much more conscious state. I learned that the key to achieving goals is in our ability to first believe they are possible and second to work through the steps needed to make them happen.

I could have picked any number that November. However, if I didn’t believe we could do it I would not have been able to motivate my staff to make it happen, and I certainly would not have had the stick-to-itiveness to see it to fruition. Today I will spend time working through my 2011 numbers. I will look at what we have achieved at Lanick this year and “decide” what we will accomplish in 2011. I will share it with my team and spend 2011 having fun watching it unfold! I encourage you to allow 2011 to be the year that you make your goals happen:
