Buying Or Starting Your Own Business: Many of my clients don’t want to be employees anymore. Instead they want to start their own property company, B&B, retail store or franchise business. The Small Business Investor: To start your own small business you will need to demonstrate two important things; firstly, that you have sufficient funds to buy, set-up, market and staff a business. Secondly, that you will create at least two new jobs for US citizens in addition to yourself. Provided you can meet these requirements you should have a good case. A budget in the region of $100-200,000 should be reasonable, although, it depends on the type of business you buy and the State. The main point is that the US is looking for foreign investors like you to help build its economy. If your investment is substantial enough you may even qualify for a green card.

Spouses Of Business Investors: As a business investor your spouse is guaranteed the right to work by law. We just have to complete the necessary paperwork for your spouse on arrival and it’s pretty much a done deal. Your spouse’s employer could also sponsor the entire family for their green cards.
